This Vegan Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich is a delicious combination of sweet caramelized onions and tasty soy chunks

1. Grill the onions for 10 to 15 minutes in a medium-high heat pan with a little oil and prepare the Soy Chunks.   While the onions are being grilled, cover the soy chunks with water for approximately 10 minutes.

. Once the soy chunks have hydrated, make the marinade by adding all the remaining vegan soy curl ingredients to a bowl. Whisk well. Make sure your onions don’t get burned!

Strain your soy pieces. Squeeze water with your bare hands. They must be clean and dry. I usually do this in a colander with another bowl underneath.

Grill soy pieces on onions for a few more minutes. Marinate. Reduce to desired consistency. Approximately 10 minutes. A tablespoon of maple syrup adds color and flavor to soy chunks.

Add vegan cheese and tapioca starch to a pot with plant-based milk over medium heat. Blend. If there are any condiments, you can top your roll with soy steak chunks. Top with cheese sauce and enjoy!
