Fortunately for us who are on a vegans, making vegan chocolate dipped strawberries is totally possible. All you need to make them is to have some dark vegan chocolate chips, shreds or a dark choco bar cut into pieces and then melted to make these delicious vegan treats. But there are a few tips on how to make your Vegam Chocolate Dipped Strawberries perfect.
How to Prepare Chocolate Dipped Strawberries?
This special recipe alone is a piece of cake! You only need 2 ingredients and under 10 minutes to prepare a decadent and sensual dessert that will make you and your date very happy.
Or you can prepare these for your own enjoyment as it is perfectly fine to treat ourselves with something nice once in a while.
Like those single people who send themselves flowers and chocolates on Valentine’s day. There is no need to be with someone necessarily to treat yourself, you can simply make and enjoy them on your own.
Preparing these chocolate dipped strawberries is easier than you thought–it all takes a melted vegan chocolate and a bit of coconut oil to make the mixture nice and easier to work with.
The next step would be to dip the strawberries in the melted chocolate mix and then transfer them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper to set. To finish them up, you drizzle a bit of extra chocolate on top to make them look nice and they are ready to devour!
Ensuring the Strawberries Are Dry Is the Secret to Dipping These Successfully
To make sure that your strawberries are totally dry and free of moisture outside, use plenty of absorbent kitchen paper. Kitchen fabric towels may be more ecological but they don’t absorb as much liquid as paper so don’t use them.
Once you ensure that every strawberry is totally dry, arrange more new paper towels for the second step of drying and leave them to dry out. I recommend you leave them to dry out for 30 minutes to make sure they are dry enough for dipping.
The reason for drying out is simply because water and chocolate do not mesh well and you will end up with pesky chocolate clumps, ruining the whole batch completely.
Once the strawberries are totally dry from outside, you can now make the chocolate.
Chilling or Not?
Furthermore, some people may wonder about whether to chill the dipped strawberries or leave them at room temperature. From my personal experience, chilling them increases moisture levels and this makes the chocolate to slide or break off from the strawberries.
Thus, to prevent any mishaps, make sure to prepare these easy vegan chocolate strawberries the day you actually intend to serve them. Besides hardening in room temperature settings they also taste great if left for several hours out.
Melting The Chocolate
The simplest method to melt the chocolate is to put the chocolate chips or chopped bits into a microwavable bowl and put in the microwave for a few batches of 30 seconds, at level 5. Make sure to stir with a spatula between these increments and keep an eye on the melting chocolate so it does not burn as it is easy to burn and ruin this for good.
