Meet Our Experts
Veganiac has two named experts. Rob Edmonds handles the mind, Trish Tucker-May handles the gut and hormones. Between them they cover the two reasons a plant-based way of eating usually comes unstuck, and neither of them is a recipe problem.
Who is Rob Edmonds?
Rob Edmonds is a Strategic Psychotherapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist, and the founder of MindShift Mentors. He created Cognitive Pattern Reprogramming, which is delivered as guided audio programs of fifteen to twenty minutes a day rather than as sessions on a couch.
His work is with the part of the decision that happens before you have consciously made it: the 9pm kitchen light, the plan that lasts nine days, the 2am ceiling stare. MindShift Mentors is included in the NSW Department of Communities and Justice mental health toolkit.
Accredited practitioner LIC#110226. ISPA accredited. ASCH member.
Who is Trish Tucker-May?
Trish Tucker-May is a clinical nutritionist and gut health specialist who has spent more than a decade working with women in their 40s and 50s. Her area is digestion, energy, hormones and menopause, which is where a lot of plant-based transitions quietly come apart.
She is the author of Nourish Your Gut for a Positive Menopause and won the 2024 Janey Lee Grace Health and Wellness Award.
Which one do I need?
If the food is right and you still feel rubbish, bloated, flat by three, sleeping badly through perimenopause, start with Trish. If you know exactly what to eat and cannot make yourself do it week after week, start with Rob.
Plenty of people need both, in that order. Fix the body, then the head, which is the whole idea behind the mind bit.
Do I have to be vegan to work with either of them?
No. Veganiac is a plant-based recipe site, but neither Rob’s programs nor Trish’s work require you to be vegan or to be planning on it.
Results vary from person to person. Information on Veganiac is general in nature and is designed to sit alongside care from your GP or another qualified practitioner, not to replace it.
