This recipe for El Pollo Loco Avocado salsa is one of the easiest recipes I have ever made. You simply wash and cut vegetables in half and throw them in your food processor. Avocado, jalapeno and cilantro are the responsible for the flavors in this vegan salsa and because everything will become a puree I don’t really bother to chop into small pieces.
There are also different levels of spice to choose for the salsa and it’s easy. I like it not so spicy, so I take away the seeds and pretty much all of the veins. This is because most of the spicy taste comes from jalapeno.
Add cilantro if you want to add to the freshness. What if you don’t like cilantro? Add parsley instead to keep it fresh.
This El Pollo Loco Avocado Salsa is perfect for the avocados that don’t look so good, as I’ve said before. The ones you open and make that face a bit because they are changing color into brown and make them not really appetizing.

Food processor – I found this recipe to be very easy to make with the food processor. You could try to make this salsa with a Ninja Blender also.
This food processor is doing an amazing job of mixing the avocado, onion, cilantro, water, vinegar, and salt together.
- 2 avocados, ripe
- 1 jalapeno pepperstemmed and quartered
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- ¾ tspsalt
- 2 tbsp minced cilantro
- 2 tbsp diced onion
- Mix avocados,wate, jalapeno, vinegar and salt in your food processer
- Pureethe mix for a fewseconds till jalapeno is minced
- Pour into a bowl, stir in cilantro and onion
- Cover and cool until it’s ready to serve
